At Galilee Baptist Church we encourage you to come just as you are. You will find people in traditional Sunday Best with their best hats on. You will find people in jeans and t-shirts. We seek to honor the Lord Jesus Christ by coming with an attitude of worship. We want everyone to feel welcome, no "church clothes" required. After all, "man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart."
There is childcare available during Sunday Services for those 4 years and under. See an usher with questions. Children are excused prior to the Sermon. There are age appropriate Sunday Schools during the 9:30 hour.
We love each other here at Galilee. There is a warm greeting time and if you want a hug, this is the place to get it. We seek to honor people's comfort zone, but we're delighted to see both old friends and new visitors. Our worship services are animated as we honor God in songs, hear and respond the preaching of the Word, and enjoy the goodness of God together.
Pastor Rhone is an expository, exegetical preacher. He typically is working on a series of messages in a book of the Bible. He seeks to present the message of the Word of God to the people of God. Be prepared to go to the text of Scripture, dig in, and stay a while. The sermon typically lasts 40-45 minutes. Pastor Rhone usually preaches from the English Standard Version, though you are welcome to study whatever translation you choose.
Our Sunday Morning Services typically get done at about 12:15, so expect about an hour and a half of singing, praying, and preaching.
